In this digital experiment, musicians and audience alike become actors, creating a shared encounter space in virtual reality (VR).
This year, the barn at the Thuringian monastery will become a digital playground for musical-virtual encounters. Through the movements, proximity and distance of the actors, visual sceneries, moods and spatial sculptures are created in virtual reality, which the violinist David Wedel interprets musically. But who is actually reacting to whom here? Are we creating a new kind of musical encounter together? What potential do new technologies like virtual reality have for the musical experience? Try it out!
